Meet Redhairedclaire

Hello! My name is Claris Bartlett and I am a red-haired, left-handed gemini. (Watch Out! LOL) I was born in Fontana California but my family moved to Palm Beach Florida when I was 8 months old. My hometown was Jupiter and I attended both Jupiter Christian and Martin County High where I graduated in 1982. I moved here to Madison County Alabama in 1985 and have now lived in Brownsboro, a fairly rural area just outside Huntsville, for 19 years.
I was an education major at Athens State University but chickened out of a teaching degree and changed my major to English/Psychology. I have eleven classes to go to receive a dual major.
I am happily married to my third husband, Earl, of nineteen years. He is a jack-of-all trades and a master of roofing. We have two sons together, Jacob/15 and Blake/19. I have a 26 yr old son, Matthew, from my first marriage and a daughter, Christi/23, from my second one. My husband and I are truly a perfect match for each other and I thank God every day for him as I know how difficult it is to find someone that you can actually enjoy spending the rest of your life with.
New Song Church in Meridianville Al is the church that I attend. It is a traditional, small, non-denominational church. Pastor Stan Mullins has an extensive background working with youth and we have two terrific youth workers, Christy Terrell and Tracie Franklin. Pastor's messages are created to teach us to live lives worthy of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. I always leave church feeling enlightened, inspired and uplifted. His style combines humor, memorized poems/songs/rhymes, his life experiences and lessons he has learned from others over the years. I am truly blessed.
It is embarassing to admit but I have had too many jobs to count! I have always worked with the public in some capacity. I have been a cashier several times and done a great deal of clerical work. I have worked at a home-improvement store, a florist, a daycare, Huntsville Hospital and private homes. I even worked for the Martin County Sherrif's Office when I lived in Fl. Currently, I work part-time as a companion/aide. That gives me plenty of time for homeschooling my freshman and developing our businesses.
For fun, we love anything to do with nature and the outdoors. We are surrounded by natural beauty from rivers to lakes to mountains. Bird watching, photography, gardening, rides in the country in my convertible and junk pile hunting are some of our favorite activities. We love bonfires and just sitting in the yard admiring our handiwork (and God's).
Making a living using the gifts and interests that God has endowed me with is my dream. My passions are many and varied. I love nature photography, writing, crafts and helping others. I want to be able to employ my whole family and give them opportunities to use their gifts. Self-sufficiency and a home of our own are a just a few of the goals we are working towards. I also want to be able to give freely to those in need and encourage others in their endeavors.
I am so thankful for the opportunities that have recently presented themselves that are allowing me to reach for the stars and fulfill my purpose here on earth.
Thank you for your interest in our endeavors. God bless you indeed!
